My studio work in many ways represents the cycle of life and the building blocks within. The used caps and spray cans incorporated in the work served their initial intended purpose in art or mark-making of some kind and now serve a new unexpected purpose as permanent works of art.
The skull as an image to me is beautiful and dynamic. My intention with the use of skulls in my work is to act as a reminder that nothing is permanent and that our time here should be honored and lived to the fullest.
Geometry - As an artist, I've been drawn to and fascinated with geometry for as long as I can remember. Geometry is a language or code that has existed in nature from the beginning of time. I see myself as borrowing and interpreting that language in my own unique way, expressing my fascination with it.
